Secular Worldview Evaluation
A secular worldview is made up of at least five invasive philosophies and theories. They are grounded in a belief system that removes the natural from the supernatural and divorces faith from reason. Are your thoughts and actions aligned with Scripture, or do you view life through these secular ideologies? This assessment will help you to understand where your thinking lines up and the amount of secular influence in your life.
Background to the Problem

In the post-modern world, Christian education is on the rise. According to the National Center for Education Statistics, there are more than 34,000 Christian schools in America. One of the largest accrediting bodies for evangelical Christian schools, the Association of Christian Schools International, accredits more than 3,000 American institutions, affecting the education of more than half a million students. The agency claims its K-12 enrollment increased by twelve percent between 2019 and 2020 (Graham, 2021). According to Graham (2021), the dramatic increase occurred during the pandemic and then exploded with the recent governmental push for diversity training in all public schools.
However, this spike in Christian education does not ensure the complete development of a biblical worldview within its students. Satterly (2023) posits that students who attend Christian schools from kindergarten through eighth grade may still lack a proper biblical worldview. He argues that it is wrong to assume that Christian educators automatically instill a Christian worldview in their students (Pacienza & Rabe, 2023). Jeff Keaton (as cited in Avery, 2016), the founder and president of a non-profit organization at RenewaNation.org, claims that 76% of Christian school graduates do not attend church regularly, and a large majority are in favor of same-sex marriage. Keaton suggests that the enemy of God is assaulting Christian education with ambiguity and false doctrine, leading to worldviews that are not biblical (Avery, 2016).
